PROSTATE AND URINARY PROBLEMS: These can commonly arise as a result of the aging process in men. Most frequent onset due to prostate problems is in men aged 50+. Frequently it includes urinary frequency and urgency at night, dribbling, hesitant and/or poor stream or poor flow, loss of libido. Testosterone levels gradually decline leading to benign prostatic enlargement (hypertrophy) or BPH. Prostate cancer is also one of the most frequently experienced cancers in men. In fact the incidence of hormonal cancers (breast, prostate etc.) is rising. It is essential that you visit your GP for a check up if you suspect any changes to your urinary habits, feel pain, notice blood, feel any unusual lumps etc, especially if you fall into the age range described.
