UPDATE:

Windows 8 fully released version: Both 32 bit and 64 bit versions work well!

Minor error message seen with 32 bit version after Delete button (no problem, just message!, use Delete key to eliminate or ignore message).

Seems to run faster on Windows 8!

Deeper testing needed but for now all main areas seem to work well. Please report any bugs! IMPORTANT: You must have made the browser choice before installing, otherwise installation will hang ... Choice of browser not important.

We have just tried Batch Master PRO on Microsoft's Windows 8 preview version for 32 bit computers:

Installation

No problem!

General Performance

Okay with very little data in some areas slow, but 'speeds up' with increased use. Can generate DSHEA image and use Label Maker etc. Helpfiles working. However with lots of data in, using areas with heavy processing a lot of flashing of title bar and 'Not Responding' messages. After waiting program finally continues but delay not acceptable.

Conclusion

This is a pre release as Microsoft states:

Windows 8 Release Preview ISO images
Note before you download: Windows 8 Release Preview is prerelease software that may be substantially modified before it’s commercially released. Microsoft makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the information provided here. Some product features and functionality may require additional hardware or software.

If performance still sluggish nearer final release then:

Action

Will retest with Access 2007 Runtime to see if performance can be improved.

Come on Microsoft! We will also be working on a tablet/Linux version!
